Floating Islands

                                          Josh's Island Abode

The scope of the project was to take a mountain that was in the ocean and cut it out and put it into the sky and make it look like it was floating. Then add your own touch to the piece by adding two things to it.

My process in making the floating mountain was basically me following the directions by cutting out the mountain and paste it in the sky etc. Then adding two objects to make it my own. I probably should of went over and revised to make the rainbow blend in with the background but I kind of rushed the last part and didn't have enough time to go back and revise it.

I learned how to use the quick selection tool better in selecting the mountain then I learned how to remove the background better around the mountain. A thing I would do differently next time would betaking the rainbow actually match the background. Also I would cut out the rainbow because it is kind of curvy and it stands out from the rest of the piece.

A thing I would do the same next time is the quick selection tool. It is so much easier than using the magic wand tool or other tools. I also really liked the color I made the mountain and background. I will use the quick selection in my next project to help me cut out the things I need more efficiently. I really liked this project overall, it helped me learn more stuff about Photoshop doing this project.
