JDC DESIGN
This is my personal logo called JDC Design, The black and blue symbolizes my favorite colors plus the school colors. I had trouble figuring out what kind of logo I should do with my sketches, but I finally decided to go with this. I think it turned out very well overall even though next time I think I should make the "design" part white so It could stand out but I didn't realize it until I exported it. I need to work more on adding gradient/3D effect to my projects like this. I didn't even try to add gradient to this project because I didn't want to mess up. I did learn more about fonts and shapes during this project. I really feel like I did good on adding the contrast between the black and blue. Overall this is a simple design but I still feel like it gets the point across and I enjoyed making this logo. I might do some tutorials at home to learn more and more about Adobe Illustrator so I can make my work pop more and stand out.
You are right about using a white stroke around the type to make it pop and it will also repeat the white frame thus unifying the whole piece. Taking risks are what using artboards and preliminary sketches are all about which, are missing from this post. Please see the assignment for full credit.
